The Coverage and Quality of Service offered by Mobile Network Operators in the Kingdom of Bahrain are critical elements for the success of the economy. Mobile telecommunications services are heavily used by consumers and businesses, either located in Bahrain or visiting the Kingdom.

For this reason the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority maintains permanent measurements on the field as to continuously assess the connectivity and the quality of the mobile services and follow their evolution over time. This evaluation is carried out from an end-user perspective and delivers quality and performance indicators.

Measurements have started in May 2020 and are performed between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm every day, each week in a different governorate, as to cover the whole kingdom over 4 weeks.

The Authority selected Directique, an international consulting firm to conduct the assessment using a test method designed to gather a faithful qualitative data from an end users’ point of view.
